Day 29

Blake getting the mail. We didn't get our mail yesterday. So much for the USPS motto of..."through rain, through snow, through sleet or hail....." Didn't work too well for them yesterday.

Day 28

SNOW DAY

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Day 27

I was gonna post a picture of the snow, but then decided to post this one. Plus, the one of the snow is just that...snow. I didn't take my kids out in it today. Maybe tomorrow. Skip-bo is a game that three out of five children can play, and the other two usually sit very close-by when we play. Everyone LOVES it.

Day 26

This was taken before he got his tooth fixed today at the dentist. I think his tooth still looks the same, so I'm not too sure what they did to make it look better. The after picture will be on my other blog. I do however, love that fact that if you look really, really close you can see left over breakfast (cheesy egg) on the left side of his face. He must have been saving that for later! He does love CHEESY EGGS!

Day 25

Makenna is two-timing in the nursery. First, Liam....now Anderson!

Day 24

Cute, huh?

Day 23

Mindy was the first person I ever played the Wii with. It's actually who I discovered how fun the Wii is with. She got one for Christmas along with the Wii FIT (so cool too!). We went over today to Wii it up!!!!
(Picture taken by Luke Alma. Check out my other blog for more Wii experiences!)

Day 22

This is from the crappy day of homeschooling that we had this past week. If you read my other blog, then you've read all about it, so I'm not gonna go on about it. But....please note a few things. (1) Look who's still working. (2) Look what time it is. (3) And look at who's on the table and grinning at that.

Day 21

We went to Toot's with Amy and her kids. We got our favorite table. It's a huge table in the back corner of the restaurant with a small arcade back there. We get to sit and chat while the kids play. Who-hoo!! (Oh, and by the way...this is the first time we've been to Toot's together in MONTHS!)

Day 20

This is what the kids and I are addicted to right now....the BIGGEST LOSER. We watch it every week cheering on the people. And the boys get very attached to some of the people. Jakeb was very, very upset when Jerry got voted off last week. And Blake was upset this week.

Day 19

If you read my other blog, you'll know that one of my favorite high school teachers, Mr. Geer, died last week. Today is the day of his funeral, and altough I can't be there in person, I'd like to remember him this day.

Day 18

The 18th would have been my Dad's 63rd birthday, so I only felt it was right to give him the picture for the day. (No one ever said it had to be a brand new picture.) He was the best Dad ever. You know they say it gets easier after a loved one dies, but I disagree. You continually miss them every day, and if you have kids, I think it's even harder because you think of all the things your loved one could be doing with your kids, and it just causes extreme sadness. I miss you, Daddy!

Day 17

See, I told you there would be another day to take pictures of Blake playing basketball. This picture is him shooting the ball. (See the ball in the upper left side of the picture.) He played so well today.

Day 16

This sweet couple are the Floyd's. Mrs. Floyd makes the best steaks in the entire world. Her other food is just as good, but her steaks are my favorite. And she knows it. She actually makes Eric and I two steaks each (hee-hee!), not to mention the rest of the feast she makes us. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I get when I find out we've been invited over there. I mean seriously, what could be better.....excellent food, excellent company, and no kids? Who-heee!!!

Day 14

my little cleaning girl

Day 13

Look who got into the markers while all of her brothers were coloring right next to her. I guess this is what I deserve when I leave the room for a minute. Oh, and the reason the picture was taken in the bathroom was not because I was about to wash her face off, it's because it was the only place where she would let me take her picture. She was wallowing on the floor moments before. I figured if she could see how silly she looked, then she might let me take a picture.

Day 12 A and B

So hugging has obviously been Makenna's thing lately, and most of the boys love to hug her too. I had fully taken my camera to take a picture of Blake playing basketball for my 365 picture, but then this happened. How could I pass this one up? It's pretty sweet, huh? Blake will have other basketball games, right?
So the question is...Should this be my picture for yesterday or the one below???...because it's a pretty good one too.

Check out what I found in Luke's pocket...all in his words
Number strip - for a guessing number game.
Dice - to predict a roll....(I guess kinda like gambling.)
Broken green light saber - to be an invisible guy fighting Count Dooku
Count Dooku - to play with the invisible guy
Feather - found in his down jacket...played with until a little girl took it, blew it, and then lost it.

Day 11

This is my favorite picture so far of the year. Makenna was being very needy in nursery on Sunday morning. Apparently she is only needy when I'm in there. I'm sure you all know how that goes. Upon receiving no attention from her mother, she ran to the arms of another.....Liam. (He's two days younger than her.) Isn't this the cutest thing ever.

Day 10

We did tookall the kids on Saturday to the flea market to traipse all over. Eric all of a suddent wanted to buy a hitch for the Expedition.

Day 9

The day after we got back from Niki's wedding, I noticed that Kaleb's tooth was not the normal white color that it should be. We had an appointment in January, so we held off going in until then. Pretty gross, huh?

Day 8

I got my boot off today!!!! Who-hooooo!!!! Luke did the honors of removing it for me.

Day 7

Master Club on Wednesday night. Somehow we got stuck in the gym, but the kids LOVED it.

Day 6

Makenna is so funny putting her foot on the table here. This is how she sits often at the table even though we are constantly telling her not to sit like this. I guess the problem is....we are laughing when we tell her, so she thinks it's funny which only causes her to put it up there more and more. You should see how grossed out Blake gets....He soooo does not like feet.

Day 5

Christmas is officially over in our house. Proof of that? The naked tree....Blake and Luke helped me take the ornaments off the tree today. Now to get the tree down. It shouldn't be that hard since it's only two pieces.

Day 4

I'm thinking that this is my craving right now...a Starbucks Mocha Frappucino. With each kid, it's been something different....Subway, Skyline, Toot's just to name a few, but right now it's these. Now some of you might be saying how horrible these are for me and the baby, and I say....sorry...this is what the baby wants. As I looked longingly at the empty one on my desk on Sunday, I kept dreaming of a new one to take its place. (Now, in my defense, I do share some of it with the boys. That's why it's a Venti.") But it's so yummy.

Day 3

Today we spent the entire morning shuffling between three basketball games. This is how our Saturdays are going to be for awhile. Should be interesting.

Day 2

Last night Eric's parents, our family, and Stacy and her kids all went to Skyline. It's a Cincinnati restaurant, so usually when our family members come, they always want to go. We took up two tables. How funny is that!

Day 1

okay, so not the best way to start out the new year. I can't believe I forgot my camera when we, the family and the in-laws, went to Buca di Beppos tonight. But well, I still wanted to remember the experience so I snapped a shot of their website. If I ever get back over there, I'll snap a picture of the outside or something, but it's not an area of town that we normally go to, so I don't know if that will happen or not.

So some of you might be wondering what Project 365 is. Unfortunately, it's a goal that I might not keep, but I'm gonna try my hardest. It's basically a picture a day for a year. It makes one album that documents your one year. My favorite scrapbooker, Becky Higgins made a scrapbooking kit to go with it to make it all easier. I think it's such a great idea.
My goal is to try to post most of the pics on my blog too. That way...it'll help with the journaling. Of course, I might have to post a whole week in one post, but we'll see. Anyways, that's the plan.
